5. Thisara Perera
Thisara Perera known for his fast bowling and aggressive batting has made it to the top 10 list as well. The Sri Lankan lad was bought by the new Hyderabad-based team Sunrisers. They spent an amount of $675,000 to get the guy in their side during the IPL 2013 auctions.
6. Chris Morris
Another impact player whose auction price has exceeded the base price significantly is South Africa’s Chris Morris. Morris, who is already being compared with Lance Klusener for his ability as match-finisher – both with the bat and the ball, was bought by Chennai Super Kings for $625,000.
7. S. Senanayake
The Sri Lankans are on a role. The best doosra ball thrower, S. Senanayake, has been the most successful bowler in Sri Lankan domestic circuit. For his wonderful bowling skills, he was bought by the Knight Riders for $625,000.
8. Dirk Nannes
Two time champions, Chennai Super Kings, bought Dirk Nannes for a wonderful price of $600,000. The bowler who has played for both Netherlands and Australia has credited IPL for getting noticed globally.
9. Jaidev Unadkat
The biggest surprise name to figure in this list is Jaidev Unadkat. He came into new for the wonderful match-winning spell of 13 for 103 against West Indies A on first-class debut. Earlier he used to play for KKR, but this time his impressive performances have made the Royal Challengers Bangalore grab him for $525,000.
10. Manpreet Gony
Manpreet has been known for his flamboyant-cum-great performances right from the early seasons of IPL. The fast bowler who has played for Chennai Super Kings is back to his home team Kings XI Punjab. KXIP bought Manpreet for $500,000.
